Early Life and Education: Gregory Kevin Lynch was born in the small southeastern Ohio town of Zanesville on August 30th, 1975. He has two older brothers, Michael and Bradley. Greg’s parents divorced when he was six years old. Greg lived with each of his parents at various times throughout multiple states including Ohio, Arizona, New Mexico, and eventually California, where he has remained since he was 16. Greg attended three different high schools and became proficient and making new friends out of necessity.
Greg’s father had his own CPA firm where he worked with his brother, Bradley. In addition to his father and brother, multiple uncles and cousins were also CPA’s. His mother was a loving housewife that eventually earned her bachelor’s degree before a number of different careers. She remains very close with Greg. In 2015, she moved near Greg in order to be the nanny for his children.
Greg moved on his own at 18 years of age and attended multiple junior colleges over several years while he also learned to play guitar and write music. In his twenties, Greg continued his undergraduate education, first pursuing an accounting degree (given his family history). While in school, he worked many jobs to try and make ends meet including pizza delivery, bounce house delivery, loading planes for UPS, stocking shelves at a grocery store, selling cutlery, bar-tending and waiting tables. During this time, Greg was also playing in several bands, a few of which had songs in commercials, video games, skate videos and on the radio. He eventually traveled the world playing music, including playing the Vans warped tour, and he amassed over 28 sponsorships. While in the band Never Heard Of It (NHOI), the band was signed with record labels in the UK, Germany, and Japan. They released multiple albums and have over 40 songs copy written with BMI music.
Greg met his wife serving tables at a restaurant in Brea, California in 2001 and they married in 2006. His wife was finishing her law degree and Greg stopped touring with the band to pursue graduate school. Greg finished his bachelor’s degree in business from California State University, Fullerton in 2007, and was accepted that same year to the master’s degree Physician Assistant program at Western School of Medicine in Pomona, California. Greg graduated with a Master of Science degree in 2009, and after passing his national board exam, went directly into Dermatology.
